For strategic control of susceptible cattle tick, Boophilus microplus, (including all known acaricide resistant strains) on beef cattle.
Oztik Pour-On Tick Inhibitor for Cattle is a tick development inhibitor and kills ticks progressively. The development inhibiting effect commences within 3 days of treatment. It can take 2 to 3 weeks for cattle to be visibly free of ticks. No additional treatment is necessary during that time, even on heavily infested animals.
Active constituent: 25 g/L Fluazuron. Pack: 15 L.
Use: Beef cattle after weaning. Qld, NT, WA and NSW only. Apply in two bands, about 7 cm wide, on each side of the spine between the rump and the shoulders.
Withholding periods: Meat: DO NOT USE less than 42 days before slaughter for human consumption. Calves which have suckled on treated cows must not be slaughtered less than 4 months after the last treatment of these cows. Milk: DO NOT USE on cattle which are producing or may in the future produce milk for human consumption. ESI: DO NOT USE less than 42 days before slaughter for export.
Storage: Store below 30°C (room temperature). Store in original container, tightly closed in a safe place out of direct sunlight.
