Chemical Safety & Safety Data Sheets
Chemical Safety & Safety Data Sheets
Tom Grady Rural Merchandise is committed to the safe handling, storage, and use of agricultural chemicals. This page provides guidance on chemical safety and links to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for products we stock.
Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Safety Data Sheets provide critical information about chemical products including hazards, safe handling procedures, first aid measures, and emergency response information. You should always read the SDS before using any chemical product.
SDS documents for products we stock are available:
- From the manufacturer's website (linked on individual product pages where available)
- By contacting us at (07) 5482 1692
- In-store at the point of purchase
Safe Handling Guidelines
- Always read the label and SDS before use
- Wear appropriate PPE — gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing as specified
- Store chemicals in original containers, locked away from children and animals
- Never mix chemicals unless directed by the label
- Dispose of empty containers correctly — refer to drumMUSTER where applicable
Chemical Regulations
Many agricultural chemicals are registered under the APVMA (Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority). It is a legal requirement to use chemicals in accordance with label directions. Off-label use requires a permit.
Dangerous Goods & Transport
Many chemicals are classified as Dangerous Goods for transport. This affects how we can ship products to you. See our Delivery Information page for details on DG shipping restrictions.
drumMUSTER
TGRM participates in the drumMUSTER program for the collection and recycling of eligible empty chemical containers. Ask in-store for details.
