Delivery Information

Delivery Information

Tom Grady Rural Merchandise delivers across Australia. We use a combination of Australia Post, road freight couriers, and specialist dangerous goods carriers depending on the product and your location.

Delivery Times

Orders placed before 12pm Monday to Friday are generally dispatched same day for in-stock items. Delivery times vary by location:

  • Gympie & surrounds: 1 to 2 business days
  • Brisbane & South East QLD: 2 to 3 business days
  • Regional QLD: 3 to 7 business days
  • Interstate: 5 to 10 business days

Freight Costs

Freight is calculated at checkout based on your location and the size and weight of your order. Heavy or bulky items (tanks, fencing, steel) may attract higher freight charges, and these will be shown at checkout.

Dangerous Goods

Many agricultural chemicals are classified as Dangerous Goods and cannot be sent via Australia Post. These products are shipped via road freight only and cannot be delivered to PO Boxes. Products that are DG-restricted will be flagged at checkout.

Products That Cannot Be Shipped

  • Vaccines and temperature-sensitive products (Click & Collect only)
  • Certain DG liquids that are road-only or require a dangerous goods declaration
  • Very large items (bulk tanks, concrete troughs), please call for a freight quote

Freight Quotes for Large Items

For bulky or pallet freight, please contact us for a freight quote before ordering. We'll find the most cost-effective option for your location.

Unloading Bulky & Palletised Deliveries

Large, heavy and palletised items (bulk tanks, troughs, pallets of fertiliser or stockfeed, steel and fencing) are delivered by road freight. We don't offer tailgate-lift unloading, and many of these items are too heavy to unload by hand, so you'll need a way to unload them when the truck arrives.

You are responsible for unloading these items at your delivery address. Please make sure suitable equipment, such as a forklift or a tractor fitted with forks or a front-end loader, and someone to operate it are available when the truck arrives. Drivers can't unload heavy or bulky goods by hand, and for insurance reasons can't operate your equipment for you.

If you're within our local delivery area and don't have unloading equipment on site, we can deliver bulky items on our own HIAB (crane) truck and lift them off for you. Just let us know when you place your order. Outside the local area this isn't available, so you'll need your own equipment to unload.

If a delivery can't be unloaded because suitable equipment or labour isn't available on arrival, redelivery or return-freight charges may apply.

Remote & Rural Area Deliveries

Small parcels are sent with Australia Post and reach most remote and rural addresses across Australia. Larger items travel by courier or road freight, and some properties sit outside standard courier runs.

If your property is off the usual courier network, or a courier has never delivered to your address before, the simplest option is to give us an alternative delivery address in town where the goods can be dropped and you're known: a produce or general store, service station, tyre or mechanic's workshop, or a transport depot. We'll deliver there for you to collect. If you're not sure we can reach your address, call us on (07) 5482 1692 before ordering and we'll check the freight options.

Signature on delivery. Most couriers require a signature. If no one's available to sign, the driver may leave a calling card and return the goods to the depot for collection or redelivery, and redelivery fees can apply. If you're happy for your delivery to be left without a signature, let us know with clear instructions; otherwise please make sure someone is on site to receive it.

Receiving Your Delivery

Please inspect your order when it arrives. For freight and palletised deliveries, check for visible damage or shortages before signing, note anything of concern on the carrier's consignment note, and contact us within 24 hours so we can resolve it quickly.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking details. You can follow your delivery from your order status page and in the Shop app.
