Coopers Exzolt Pour-on for cattle is a next generation ectoparasiticide that controls cattle ticks for 56 days, bush ticks for 21 days and buffalo flies for 21 days.
It contains fluralaner, a class of chemical which is new in the Australian cattle parasite market, which delivers breakthrough control against external parasites and will help Australian cattle farmers fight chemical resistance.
What’s more, Coopers Exzolt Pour-on for Cattle is a low volume pour-on, which means application is easier, faster and there’s less container wastage.
How does it work:
Coopers Exzolt Pour-on for Cattle works systemically through absorption into the blood stream via grooming and via direct contact.
Cattle ticks, bush ticks and buffalo flies are exposed to the active ingredient, fluralaner, when they feed on treated cattle and via contact.
This dual activity ensures greater exposure of the parasite to fluralaner for effective control.

Coopers Exzolt Pour-on contains fluralaner, a parasiticide belonging to the isoxazoline family of chemicals, which works systemically as well as by contact to control ectoparasites.
Coopers Exzolt Pour-on for Cattle is for the control of isoxazoilne susceptible strains of Cattle Tick (Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus) including dieldrin, organophosphate, synthetic pyrethroid amidine, macrocyclic lactone and fluazuron resistant ticks.

Host Animals
For use in cattle. Safe for use in breeding cattle (cows and heifers). Reproductive safety in breeding bulls has not been evaluated. Safety has not been demonstrated in calves younger than 6 months.

Resistance may develop to any chemical.
Application Method
Administer topically in a narrow strip along the midline of the back from the withers to the base of the tail. Cattle should be dry at treatment. Use in well-ventilated areas or outdoors.

Dose based on body weight:
- 51-100 kg: 2.5 mL
- 101-150 kg: 5.0 mL
- 151-200 kg: 10.0 mL
- 201-250 kg: 12.5 mL
- 251-300 kg: 15.0 mL
- 301-350 kg: 17.5 mL
- 351-400 kg: 20.0 mL
- 401-450 kg: 22.5 mL
- 451-500 kg: 25.0 mL
- 501-550 kg: 27.5 mL
- 551-600 kg: 30.0 mL
- 601-650 kg: 32.5 mL
- Above 650 kg: Add 2.5 mL for each 50 kg above 650 kg
Important Instructions
- Weigh a representative sample of animals before treatment using scales or a weighband
- Base dose rate on the heaviest cattle in each group (bulls, cows, steers, calves, etc.)
- Do not under dose
- Where there is large variation in size within the group, draft into two or more lines based on body weight to avoid excessive overdosing
- Apply only with the recommended applicator and draw off tube
- Clean applicator with warm soapy water then flush with clean water and allow to dry before next use

Tips for Best Results
- Weigh accurately: Use a weigh scale — never estimate bodyweight. Under-dosing is the single biggest contributor to treatment failure and resistance development in ectoparasiticides.
- Resistance management: Fluralaner (isoxazoline class) is a new chemistry in the Australian cattle parasite market. To protect its long-term efficacy, avoid using it as your only product in rotation. Work with a strategic program that cycles between chemical classes — for example, rotating with organophosphates, synthetic pyrethroids or macrocyclic lactones where resistance profiles allow. Check local cattle tick resistance monitoring data before selecting a product.
- Refugia principle: Not all animals need treating at every opportunity. Maintaining a proportion of untreated animals (refugia) helps dilute resistant parasite genetics in the population and slows the development of resistance — a principle strongly supported by WormBoss and MyParaBoss guidance for sustainable parasite management.
- Storage and records: Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C away from direct sunlight. Keep a treatment record including date, animal ID or mob, bodyweight, dose applied, batch number and withholding period expiry — this is essential for both compliance and resistance monitoring on your property.
