Cydectin Pour-On for Cattle and Red Deer contains 5 g/L moxidectin. For the treatment and control of moxidectin-sensitive internal and external parasites of cattle and for the treatment and control of lungworm and gastrointestinal roundworms of red deer.
Cattle
Gastrointestinal roundworms: Haemonchus placei, Ostertagia ostertagi/O. lyrata, Trichostrongylus axei, T. colubriformis (black scour worm), T. longispicularis, Cooperia species, Nematodirus helvetianus, Bunostomum phlebotomum, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Trichuris spp.
Lungworm: Dictyocaulus viviparus.
Cattle tick: Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus.
Lice: Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Solenopotes capillatus, Bovicola bovis.
Mites: Chorioptes bovis, Sarcoptes bovis (not found in Australia), Psoroptes ovis (not found in Australia).
Buffalo fly (treatment and aid in control): Haematobia irritans exigua.
Red deer
Lungworm: Dictyocaulus viviparus. Gastrointestinal roundworms: Haemonchus spp., Ostertagia spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Oesophagostomum spp.
Persistent activity (cattle)
Ostertagia ostertagi/O. lyrata, Dictyocaulus viviparus, Oesophagostomum radiatum and Bunostomum phlebotomum 42 days; Haemonchus placei and Trichostrongylus axei 28 days; Nematodirus helvetianus 21 days; cattle tick 21 days.
Persistent activity (deer)
Ostertagia spp., Oesophagostomum spp. and Dictyocaulus viviparus 42 days.
Efficacy is not adversely affected if applied when the hide is wet, or if rain occurs shortly after application; however the efficacy against tick and buffalo fly may be reduced if very heavy rain occurs following treatment.
When applied as directed, the levels of CYDECTIN POUR-ON FOR CATTLE AND RED DEER in the faeces of treated cattle are not likely to have any significant adverse effect on the following dung beetles: Onthophagus gazella, O. taurus, Euoniticellus intermedius and E. fulvus. Effects on other dung beetle species have not been fully evaluated.

What is the dose?
1 mL per 10 kg liveweight (0.5 mg/kg), applied along the top of the back from the withers to the base of the tail. Cattle heavier than 650 kg should be dosed at 1 mL per 10 kg liveweight.
Can I apply it if cattle are wet or rain is coming?
