Cydectin Injection for Cattle is effective against moxidectin sensitive gastrointestinal roundworms (including inhibited larvae of Ostertagia ostertagi), lungworm, sucking lice and mange.
Cydectin Injection for Cattle is effective for control of cattle tick (Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus) including strains resistant to organophosphates, synthetic pyrethroids and amidines.
Prevents the development of viable cattle tick for 28 days after treatment.

Inject only by subcutaneous injection.

1 mL/50 kg (0.2 mg moxidectin per kg liveweight)
Care must be taken to use the correct dose in calves under 100 kg bodyweight, particularly if animals are in light body condition because they may be susceptible to overdosing.
Do not use in undernourished animals.

Persistent Activity

Dose rate & administration
1 mL per 50 kg by subcutaneous (SC) injection, preferably high on the neck behind the ear. Maximum needle length 15 mm. Use contents within 28 days of first broaching — discard unused portion.
Note: For animals under 100 kg, use 0.5 mL per 25 kg. Take particular care with calves under 100 kg in light body condition.

Tips for Best Results
- Weigh animals accurately — never estimate liveweight. Underdosing is one of the leading drivers of drench resistance, and it's an easy mistake to make when guessing weights in a mixed mob.
- Macrocyclic Lactones (MLs) are a valuable drench class, but resistance in cattle worms — particularly Haemonchus placei (barber's pole worm) — is an increasing concern in Queensland. Rotate between drench classes (ML, BZ, LEV) as part of a planned resistance management program, and use combination products or targeted selective treatment where appropriate.
- Following WormBoss principles, always leave a proportion of untreated cattle on pasture where practical to maintain susceptible worms in refugia. This slows the development of drench resistance by diluting resistant genes in the worm population.
- Store Cydectin Injection below 30°C, out of direct sunlight, and away from children. Keep accurate treatment records including date, mob, dose administered, and withholding period expiry — these records are essential for property assurance programs and good parasite management.
