Host: Cattle and red deer. Target: Cattle — moxidectin-sensitive gastrointestinal roundworms (Ostertagia, lungworm and nodule worm controlled for 42 days; barber's pole and black scour worm 28 days), lungworm, cattle tick (21 days), lice and mites; red deer — lungworm and gastrointestinal roundworms.

Dose rate & administration

1 mL per 10 kg liveweight (0.5 mg moxidectin/kg) applied as a pour-on along the top of the back from the withers to the base of the tail. Weigh animals and dose to the heaviest in each group — never estimate. A 250 kg animal needs 25 mL, so the 2.2 L bonus pack treats approximately 88 head of 250 kg cattle (44 head at 500 kg). Do not apply at the same time as any other pour-on product. Do not re-treat lactating dairy cattle within 21 days or red deer within 60 days.

Withholding periods

Cattle — Meat: Nil. Milk: Nil. ESI: Nil (confirm current ESI before export slaughter). Red deer — Meat: DO NOT USE less than 7 days before slaughter for human consumption.

Always read the current registered product label before use. Dose rates and withholding periods on this page are provided as a guide only. The registered label supplied with the product is the legal document and takes precedence. If in doubt, contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 or the manufacturer directly.

Tips for Best Results

  • Apply to dry cattle; efficacy against tick and buffalo fly may be reduced by very heavy rain soon after treatment.
  • Use strategic timing based on parasite challenge and faecal egg counts rather than a fixed calendar, and rotate with other drench classes to slow macrocyclic-lactone resistance.
  • Moxidectin is very toxic to aquatic life — keep product away from waterways and dispose of containers as directed.
