Target: Brush and broadleaf weeds, including blackberry, bracken, gorse and sweet briar - see the registered label for the full weed list. Legumes will be removed from pasture if oversprayed.

Genfarm Metsulfuron 600 WG Herbicide (Group B) is registered for the control of brush and broadleaf weeds in native pastures, rights of way, commercial and industrial areas and for the control of certain broadleaved weeds in winter cereal crops (barley, cereal rye, triticale, wheat). Rates differ by target weed, situation and application method (handgun, boom or gas gun). Use only the rate given on the registered label for your target weed. It is important that a surfactant/wetting agent is ALWAYS used with this product. If no specific wetting agent/surfactant is recommended in the Directions for Use table, use a non-ionic surfactant (100%) at 100 mL/100 L of final spray volume. For winter cereal crops, always add a non-ionic surfactant/wetting agent at the rate of 0.1% (active constituent) of final spray volume; in winter cereals, DO NOT add a surfactant/wetting agent when tank mixing with terbutryn or diuron. Legumes will be removed from pasture if oversprayed. DO NOT apply to newly sown pastures as severe damage may occur. DO NOT store the prepared spray for more than 2 days. In winter cereals DO NOT apply to crops undersown with legumes, DO NOT apply to crops before the three leaf stage when used post emergent, DO NOT apply to crops under stress, DO NOT spray if rainfall is expected within 2 hours and DO NOT use on flood or furrow irrigated crops. Clean spray equipment after use following the label decontamination procedure (household bleach rinse). DO NOT use chlorine bleach with ammonia. What weeds does this product control?

It is registered for the control of brush and broadleaf weeds in native pastures, rights of way, commercial and industrial areas and for the control of certain broadleaved weeds in winter cereal crops, as per the label Directions for Use table. Brush weeds on the label include blackberry, common bracken, gorse and sweet briar.

Will it affect legumes?

Yes. The label states legumes will be removed from pasture if oversprayed, and it must not be applied to crops undersown with legumes or to newly sown pastures.

What form is it?

It is a water dispersible granule: the label describes it as a dry flowable granule which must be mixed with clean water. The active constituent is metsulfuron-methyl at 600 g/kg.

Is there a withholding period?

Not required when used as directed. When tank mixed, the label says DO NOT CUT OR GRAZE FOR STOCK FOOD FOR 7 DAYS after tank mix application with MCPA, McPik 242, terbutryn or 2,4-D, 3 days with Diuron Flowable and 14 days with Buctril MA.
