Host: Native pastures, rights of way, commercial and industrial areas, winter cereals (wheat, barley, triticale, cereal rye). Target: Brush and woody weeds (blackberry, bracken, gorse, sweet briar and others listed) and broadleaf weeds; legumes will be damaged

Genfarm Metsulfuron 600 WG is a Group B (ALS-inhibiting) residual herbicide for brush and broadleaf weeds in native pastures, rights of way, commercial and industrial areas, and for certain broadleaf weeds in winter cereals (wheat, barley, triticale, cereal rye). Rates are weed-, situation- and method-specific on the registered label: handgun 5–20 g per 100 L of water; boom spray 5–80 g/ha; gas gun 1–2 g/L. ALWAYS add a surfactant/wetting agent (a non-ionic surfactant at 100 mL/100 L unless the label specifies otherwise). Mix the granules in a partly filled tank with agitation and apply to actively growing weeds with thorough coverage. WARNING: legumes (clovers, medics, lucerne) in the pasture will be damaged or removed if oversprayed – this product is not for use in legume crops or legume-based pastures. Withholding period not required when used as directed (3–14 day grazing/cutting restrictions apply to some tank mixes). Thoroughly clean spray tanks after use following the label decontamination procedure. Refer to the registered label for rates by weed and situation.

Always read the current registered product label before use. Dose rates and withholding periods on this page are provided as a guide only. The registered label supplied with the product is the legal document and takes precedence. If in doubt, contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 or the manufacturer directly.

Apply to young, actively growing weeds; always include the label surfactant; rotate modes of action to manage Group B resistance; and never spray pastures or crops containing clover, medic or lucerne you wish to keep – metsulfuron removes legumes. Clean spray equipment after use following the label tank-cleaning procedure (household bleach rinse).
