Bow Saw Metsulfuron Methyl 600 WG Herbicide is used for the control of certain broadleaf weeds in winter cereal crops and broadleaf weeds and brush species (woody weeds) in pastures, rights of way, commercial and industrial areas as per the Directions For Use table.
Bow Saw Metsulfuron Methyl is a residual sulfonylurea compound, used as a selective pre and postemergence herbicide for broadleaf weeds and some annual grasses.
It is a systemic compound with foliar and soil activity, and it works rapidly after it is taken up by the plant.
Its mode of action is by inhibiting cell division in the shoots and roots of the plant, and it is biologically active at low use rates.
It is very effective on weeds that include bulbs or tubers.
Bow Saw Metsulfuron Methyl is commonly used in broadacre farming, woody weed & brush control and forestry situations.
It is usually used together with other herbicides that control the weeds not susceptible to metsulfuron.
Metsulfuron-methyl also controls susceptible weeds in cereals, where selectivity is due to rapid metabolism within the cereal plants.

Bow Saw Metsulfuron Methyl 600 controls more than 40 different species of brush, broadleaf and bulbous weeds.
Mixed infestations of hard-to-control woody weeds, including Lantana, Gorse, Bracken, Tree-of-Heaven and Blackberry, are also easily controlled with one pass.
Bow Saw Metsulfuron Methyl 600 also controls nuisance pasture weeds, including Doublegee, Erodium, Sorrel, Onion grass and Paterson’s Curse, & many more.

Bow Saw Metsulfuron Methyl 600 is a highly selective herbicide for the control of many broadleaf weeds in winter cereals.
It can be applied any time from the three-leaf stage of the crop – when the weeds are young and actively growing – to before booting.
Bow Saw Metsulfuron Methyl 600 is compatible with a wide range of grass and broadleaf herbicides, making weed control even more cost-effective with one-pass application.

Application Instructions
Winter Cereal Crops: For control of certain broadleaf weeds. DO NOT apply before the three leaf stage of the crop when used for post emergent weed control. DO NOT apply to crops under stress or if rainfall is expected within 2 hours. DO NOT use on flood or furrow irrigated crops. DO NOT apply to wheat varieties King, Jacup, Miling and Harrier.
Established Pastures and Pasture Renovation
For control of broadleaf weeds. DO NOT apply to newly sown pastures as severe damage may result. DO NOT use on pasture seed crops. DO NOT apply to weeds under stress or that are not actively growing. DO NOT spray if rainfall is expected within 2 hours. May cause temporary yellowing and stunting in established Perennial Phalaris and/or Perennial Cocksfoot.
Brush Control
For control of brush species in pastures, rights of way, commercial and industrial areas. DO NOT spray if rainfall is expected within 4 hours.
Mixing Instructions
One third fill the spray tank with water and add the required amount of product with the agitator running. Top up to correct volume with water. Agitate continuously before and during application. For tank mixtures: add Apparent Bow Saw 600 first, followed by dry flowables, suspension concentrates, aqueous concentrates and emulsifiable concentrates. DO NOT store tank mixes. DO NOT store a suspension for more than 2 days otherwise significant breakdown will occur.

Resistance Management
GROUP B HERBICIDE - ALS Inhibitor Mode of Action
Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Apparent Bow Saw 600 Herbicide and other ALS inhibitor herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability. Resistant individuals can dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. DO NOT use Group B Herbicide if it has been used during the current season. DO NOT apply to paddocks where there is a high risk of weeds resistant to Group B Herbicides.
Crop Safety Precautions
DO NOT use in winter cereal crops undersown with legume pasture species (medics, clovers). Care should be taken if applying in the same season to a crop already treated with another Sulfonylurea herbicide as crop damage may occur. Use on land with soil pH of 5.5 or less may result in crop retardation, particularly if crop is stressed. When treatment is followed by severe stress (drought, prolonged cold, waterlogging, frosty conditions), crop yellowing and growth retardation may occur. Crops normally recover without loss in yield.
Environmental Protection
DO NOT apply under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, cropping lands or pastures.
