Dalgety Cattlemax Pour On For Cattle contains ivermectin, a member of the macrocyclic lactone family of chemicals.
It has a broad spectrum of activity against most internal and external parasites with sensitivity
to ivermectin.
Resistance may develop to any chemical.
For the treatment and control of ivermectin sensitive:
Gastrointestinal nematodes:
Adult and immature (L4): Small Brown Stomach Worm (including inhibited stages) (Ostertagia ostertagi), Barber’s Pole Worm (Haemonchus placei), Stomach Hair Worm (Trichostrongylus axei), Intestinal Hair Worm (T. colubriformis), Small Intestinal Worm (Cooperia spp.), Nodule Worm (Oesophagostomum radiatum); Adult stages of Cooperia oncophora, C. punctata, Oesophagostomum venulosum, Whip Worm (Trichuris spp.), Intestinal Threadworm (Strongyloides papillosis); Immature stages (L4) of Thin Necked Intestinal Worm (Nematodirus spp.).
Lungworms:
(adult and immature) Dictyocaulus viviparus.
Eyeworm:
Thelazia spp. (adult stages).
Sucking and Biting Lice:
Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Bovicola bovis, Solenopotes capillatus.
Mites:
Chorioptes bovis, Sarcoptes scabiei var bovis.
Buffalo Flies:

Persistent Activity:
Dalgety Cattlemax Pour On For Cattle applied at the recommended dose of 1 mL per 10 kg of liveweight controls infections of Stomach Hair Worm (Trichostrongylus axei) and Small Intestinal Worm (Cooperia spp.) for up to 14 days after treatment; Small Brown Stomach Worm (Ostertagia spp.)
DO NOT USE in pregnant cows less than 7 days before calving.

Dose rate & administration
1 mL per 10 kg applied as a pour-on along the topline in a narrow strip from withers to tailhead. Efficacy is not affected if hide is wet or if rain occurs shortly after treatment. Do not re-treat within 42 days.

Tips for Best Results
- Weigh animals accurately using scales — never guess liveweight. Underdosing is one of the leading contributors to drench resistance on Australian cattle properties.
- Ivermectin belongs to the Macrocyclic Lactone (ML) drench class. Repeated and exclusive use of ML drenches increases selection pressure for resistance. Rotate drench classes strategically and consider combination treatments where appropriate — talk to the team at TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 for a rotation plan suited to your herd.
- Maintain refugia — avoid treating every animal on the property at the same time where possible. Leaving a proportion of low-risk animals untreated preserves a susceptible worm population in the paddock, which dilutes the frequency of resistant genes and slows the development of resistance over time. - Store below 25°C, out of direct sunlight, and away from children and animals. Keep the container tightly sealed. Record all treatments including date, product used, batch number, animals treated, dose administered, and withholding period — good records are essential for monitoring drench efficacy and managing resistance over the long term.
