Always read the current registered product label before use. Withholding periods must be observed before slaughter, milking, or egg collection. The label supplied with the product is the legal document and takes precedence. If in doubt, contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 or the manufacturer directly.

Administer one tablet per 10kg of body weight. Give the tablet directly by mouth or crush and mix with a small amount of food. Repeat treatment every 3 months for adult dogs and cats. For puppies and kittens, worm every 2 weeks from 2-12 weeks of age, then monthly until 6 months old. Tips: Always dose by weight to ensure effective treatment and prevent resistance — underdosing can lead to treatment failure. If your dog eats raw sheep or cattle offal, consult your veterinarian about additional monthly praziquantel treatment for hydatid tapeworm, as quarterly all-wormer may not be sufficient. Check the product label before use if your animal is pregnant or nursing. Common Questions

What worms does Drontal treat in dogs?

Drontal is an oral allwormer tablet that treats and controls all gastrointestinal worms in dogs, including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms. It also controls the shedding of cysts from Giardia. However, it does not control heartworm, so you may need a separate product for heartworm prevention — ask your vet.

How do I give Drontal to my dog?

Drontal is presented as a palatable, tasty chew tablet that most dogs accept readily. You can feed it directly to your dog or mix it in with their food — whichever works best for you.

Is Drontal safe for puppies?

Drontal should not be given to puppies under 2 weeks of age. The product label includes a specific puppy worming schedule, so please read the registered label carefully or speak to your vet about the right timing for your puppy.

Can I give Drontal to a pregnant dog?

Drontal is not recommended for dogs in the 1st or 2nd stage of pregnancy. If you are considering use in the 3rd trimester, this should only be done based on an assessment by your veterinarian. Always speak to your vet before worming a pregnant dog.

What size dog is this pack suitable for?

This pack is Drontal for medium-sized dogs weighing 3–10 kg. One tablet treats dogs up to 10 kg bodyweight. If your dog is outside this range, check with your vet or the product label to find the right formulation.
