Administer one tablet orally to cats based on their weight (one tablet treats up to 4kg). Tablets can be given directly in the mouth or crushed and mixed with food. Repeat dosing as per the worming schedule: every 3 months for adult cats, every 2 weeks from 2-12 weeks of age, then monthly until 6 months old. No fasting is required before or after treatment. Tips: Always dose according to your cat's current weight to ensure effective treatment and prevent underdosing, which can lead to resistance and treatment failure. If your cat is difficult to pill, crush the tablet finely and mix with a small amount of wet food or treat paste. Keep records of worming dates to maintain a consistent treatment schedule. Common Questions

What worms does Drontal treat in cats?

Drontal is registered for the control of gastrointestinal worms and tapeworms in cats. It does not control heartworm or lungworm. If you're concerned about those parasites, speak to your vet about additional preventative treatments.

How do I know what dose my cat needs?

You'll need to weigh your cat first. Each tablet treats cats up to a certain body weight — check the product label for exact dosing instructions based on your cat's weight. If you're unsure, ring TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 or visit 55 Tozer St, Gympie, or ask your vet.

Is it safe to use Drontal with other treatments?

Yes, Drontal may be combined with other treatments such as heartworm prevention, flea and tick treatments. However, always read the label and follow directions. If you have questions about combining treatments, consult your vet.

How often does my cat need worming?

What should I do before giving this tablet?

Weigh your cat and ensure it has an empty stomach before dosing. Give the tablet by mouth as an individual measured dose. Always read the product label and follow all directions for use before administering.
