Drontal Cat Allwormer tablets, twin pack (2 tablets).
Controls gastrointestinal worms and tapeworms in cats, including roundworms (Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina), hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Ancylostoma ceylanicum, Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala) and tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia taeniaeformis). Does not control lungworm. Not formulated for dogs.
Dose (1 tablet per 4 kg bodyweight):
2 kg and under: ½ tablet
2.1 - 4 kg: 1 tablet
Over 4 kg: 1 tablet per 4 kg
Given as a single dose by mouth. Cats should be dosed on an empty stomach. It is essential to weigh cats before treatment.
Treatment schedule:
Kittens: treat at 6, 8 and 12 weeks, then 3 monthly
Adults: every 3 months
Pregnant/lactating queens: prior to mating, 10 days before kittening and 2 and 4 weeks after
It may be given to all cats including old animals, young kittens, pregnant queens and show animals. Drontal may be combined with other treatments, for example flea or tick treatment. If worm problems persist consult a veterinarian.
