Second-generation anticoagulant bait — APVMA suspension conditions apply from 24 March 2026: use only in a tamper-resistant bait station (indoors only for home use), treat for up to 35 days per infestation, and search for and dispose of dead rodents. Commercial and farm use requires tamper- and weather-resistant stations secured in place. Unsure which bait you need? See our guide: Rat and Mouse Bait, Traps or Bait Stations — Which One Do You Need?

Rudduck Rodenticide Paste (formerly Deadline Paste) — bromadiolone (0.1 g/kg), second-generation, ready-to-use paste bait. Use only in accordance with the current registered label and current SGAR conditions.

The paste is an edible bait base formulated for maximum palatability, with a blue warning dye. Laboratory and field trials have shown paste baits are highly palatable and effective, and that Rudduck paste is taken where blocks and soft baits are refused — making it a strong option for bait-shy rodents and areas with competing food sources. The paste formulation sticks readily to the inside of tamper-resistant bait stations.

Active constituent: bromadiolone 0.1 g/kg.

Chemical Schedule: S6

APVMA Reg. No: 39461

For use on: Rats, mice

Host: In and around domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings (within 2 m) or enclosed spaces. Target: Rats and mice

Using the caulking gun, apply 3–4 g of paste (about two pumps) to the base of a tamper-resistant bait box placed in a protected position where rodents are active, within 2 m of buildings or in enclosed spaces. Do not exceed 3 m between bait stations for mice or 9 m for rats. Eliminate alternative food sources where practicable. Inspect baits daily, replace eaten bait and continue until no more bait is taken – baiting for at least 2 weeks is necessary. Do not place bait in the open or where children, pets, livestock, birds or wildlife can reach it; search for and dispose of dead rodents. Read the registered label before use.

Always read the current registered product label before use. Dose rates and withholding periods on this page are provided as a guide only. The registered label supplied with the product is the legal document and takes precedence. If in doubt, contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 or the manufacturer directly.

Inspect daily and replace eaten paste; wear gloves; keep bait boxes secured and away from children, pets and food; the paste is useful where rodents refuse blocks.

Common Questions

What is Rudduck Rodenticide Paste designed to control?

Rudduck Rodenticide Paste has been formulated specifically to control rodent infestations. It's a palatable paste bait that's proven effective in laboratory and field trials.

Why choose a paste bait over blocks or soft baits?

Paste baits are highly palatable and effective. Field trials have shown that Rudduck Paste will be consumed where blocks and soft baits are not taken, making it ideal when rodents are reluctant to feed on other bait types. It's also effective in areas with high levels of competing food sources.

Does the paste stick to bait stations?

Yes. The paste formulation readily sticks to the inside of tamper resistant bait stations, making it easy to use and helping keep the bait in place.

What's the blue dye in the product?

The blue dye is a warning indicator included in the formulation. It helps you identify the product and its presence.

Where can I find dosing and safety information?

All application rates, safety directions, and handling instructions are detailed on the registered product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
