Pounce 500 Timber and Residual Insecticide is a contact and residual insecticide for control of a wide range of insect pests in various situations as per the Directions for Use table.

Registered situations include:

Felled logs, poles, posts and sawn timber
Remedial treatment of timber in buildings (drywood termites: QLD, NSW, NT, WA only)
Groundline treatment of power poles (all states south of the Tropic of Capricorn except Tasmania)
Softwood particleboard manufacture and softwood plywood processing (not in Tas); softwood and hardwood plywood for export
Household and industrial premises
Carpets, rugs and fabrics; aircraft
Lawns, ovals and amenity areas (QLD, NSW only)
Repellent treatment of mosquito nets and fabric (excluding clothing), and repellent treatment of clothing of ADF personnel

Pounce 500 is a contact and residual insecticide (500 g/L permethrin) for control of a wide range of insect pests in various situations as per the Directions for Use table, including timber, power poles, particleboard and plywood manufacture, household and industrial premises, carpets, rugs, aircraft, lawns (QLD, NSW only) and repellent treatment of mosquito nets and fabric (excluding clothing). For surface sprays, apply to the point of run-off, at the rate of 5 L of prepared spray per 100-150 m² depending on the porosity of the sprayed material. Spray in cracks, crevices and other insect harbourages. For carpets, apply 50 mL spray mix per m². Do not use diesel in or under living areas as odours and staining may occur. Harmful to fish. Do not contaminate streams, rivers or waterways. Always read the registered label before use (APVMA 49211).

It is a contact and residual insecticide for control of a wide range of insect pests in various situations as per the label Directions for Use table, including timber beetles and termites in timber, household and industrial pests (ants, cockroaches, fleas, flies, mosquitoes, spiders, silverfish), carpet beetles and clothes moths, and lawn armyworm (QLD, NSW only).

Can I spray it on clothing?

No. Repellent treatment of mosquito nets and fabric is for fabric excluding clothing. The only clothing use on the label is repellent treatment of clothing of ADF personnel.

How much spray do I apply?

For surface sprays, apply to the point of run-off, at the rate of 5 L of prepared spray per 100-150 m² depending on the porosity of the sprayed material. For carpets the label states 50 mL spray mix per m². Dilution rates for each situation are in the registered label.
