Before You Start

General Directions
- Timber treatment (posts, poles, felled logs, sawn timber): Mix and apply strictly according to the rates specified on the product label. Apply evenly to all surfaces to be treated.
- Remedial termite and timber pest treatment: Follow label directions for your specific pest and situation. Drill and inject into damaged areas where indicated on the label.
- Household and industrial pests (cockroaches, ants, fleas, flies, mosquitoes, spiders, silverfish): Mix and apply as directed on the label. Direct spray into cracks, crevices and insect harbourages.
- Fabric and clothing treatment (mosquito nets, clothing): Apply as directed on the label to kill insects on contact with treated fabric.
- Lawn armyworm: Apply as directed on the registered label. Treat at first sign of damage for best results.
Tips
- Permethrin works on both contact and ingestion, so thorough, even coverage gives the best residual protection.
- Porous surfaces such as bare timber, brick and unrendered cement will absorb more spray than smooth or sealed surfaces — keep this in mind when planning your application.

Application Tips
- Spray to the point of "run-off" - approximately 5L of prepared spray per 100-150m² depending on surface porosity
- Porous surfaces (brick, cement, unglazed ceramic) absorb more spray and require higher volumes to deliver the required surface deposit
- Spray thoroughly into cracks, crevices and other insect harbourages
- For carpet and fabric treatment, test on a small, non-conspicuous area first to ensure no staining or damage occurs
- Apply sufficient diluted spray to penetrate carpet pile or fabric (50mL spray mix per m²)
Timber Treatment Specific
- For remedial drywood termite treatment, surfaces must absorb the solution - sand down varnished, painted or polished surfaces to ensure penetration
- Drill damaged areas and inject solution until timber cannot absorb more liquid
- Treat all infested areas indicated by expulsion of frass for maximum effect
- A single application may be sufficient. Continued frass expulsion may be due to timber movement rather than live infestation
- Do not use diesel in or under living areas as odours and staining may occur
- For power pole treatment, excavate 30cm around pole to 30-40cm depth before application
Manufacturing Applications
- For particle board manufacture, add to glue. Calculate based on weight of fibre component only
- For plywood dip treatment, calculate uptake based on average shift or daily throughput rather than individual veneers, as uptake varies
- For vacuum impregnation, ensure uptake equals calculated amount of white spirit per 100kg timber
Lawn Treatment
- Apply at first sign of armyworm damage
- Re-apply as and when required
