Nufarm Axe (500 g/L permethrin 40:60, Group 3A) is applied as a foliar spray at crop- and pest-specific label rates that are far lower than 1 L/ha: for example cereals (armyworm) 100–200 mL/ha; brassica vegetables 100 mL/ha in 600–1000 L water (10 mL/100 L high volume); field peas 150–250 mL/ha; green beans 150–200 mL/ha; potatoes, tomatoes, sweet corn and tobacco 100–200 mL/ha (15–20 mL/100 L); celery 50 mL/100 L; cutworm in cereals and WA webworm at lower rates listed on the label. Apply to small larvae with thorough coverage; withholding periods are 1–3 days for most crops. Toxic to bees and aquatic life – do not spray flowering crops while bees are foraging and avoid drift to water. Refer to the registered label for the full crop/pest/state table.
