Vetsense Kilverm Pig and Poultry Wormer. Active constituent: 14 g/L levamisole (equivalent to 16.5 g/L levamisole hydrochloride). "For the treatment of sensitive strains of roundworms in pigs and poultry."
Pigs - Kilverm is effective against sensitive strains of:
- Large Roundworms (Ascaris suum), both mature and immature
- Stomach Worm (Hyostrongylus rubidus)
- Nodule Worm (Oesophagostomum dentatum)
- Lung Worm (Metastrongylus spp.)
- Mature Kidney Worm (Stephanurus dentatus) - NSW & QLD only
Poultry:
- Large Roundworms (Ascaridia galli)
- Caecal Worm (Heterakis gallinae)
- Hairworm (Capillaria spp.)

Which worms does Kilverm control?
Pigs: large roundworms (Ascaris suum, mature and immature), stomach worm (Hyostrongylus rubidus), nodule worm (Oesophagostomum dentatum), lung worm (Metastrongylus spp.) and mature kidney worm (Stephanurus dentatus, NSW & QLD only). Poultry: large roundworms (Ascaridia galli), caecal worm (Heterakis gallinae) and hairworm (Capillaria spp.).
What is the dose for pigs?
Oral drench: 1 mL/2 kg (5 mL/10 kg) liveweight. In feed: 5 mL/10 kg, so 10 pigs of 40 kg will need 200 mL. Dampen the mash, pellets or grain with water or skim milk and mix thoroughly. Pigs should be slightly hungry, and animals of comparative size should be treated together.
What is the dose for poultry?
For the three worms listed (large roundworm, caecal worm and hairworm), dilute 100 mL Kilverm with 2 litres of water. If treating large roundworm only, dilute 100 mL Kilverm with 3 litres of water. Withhold water from birds 2 hours before nightfall, make the medicated water available at daylight, and replace with clean water after 8 hours or when the medication is consumed.
