Farnam MecWorma & Bot broad spectrum worm paste for horses. Active constituent: 3.64 mg/g abamectin.
For the treatment and control of roundworms (Strongylus and Cyathostomum spp.) including arterial larval stages and benzimidazole resistant strains, bots (Gasterophilus spp.), cutaneous onchocerciasis, and other nematodes including Habronema and Draschia spp. which cause skin lesions (summer sores).
At the recommended dose level of 0.2 mg/kg bodyweight MecWorma & Bot controls:
Large strongyles
Small strongyles (including benzimidazole resistant strains)
Ascarids (Parascaris equorum, adult & immature)
Pinworms (Oxyuris equi, adult & immature)
Hairworms (Trichostrongylus axei, adult)
Lungworms (Dictyocaulus arnfieldi, adult and immature)
Bots (Gasterophilus spp., oral and stomach stages)
Intestinal threadworms (Strongyloides westeri, adult)
Neck threadworms (Onchocerca spp. microfilariae, cutaneous onchocerciasis)
Stomach worms (Habronema muscae, adult and cutaneous larval stage; Draschia spp., cutaneous larval stage) – both cause summer sores

The label claim is for the treatment and control of roundworms (Strongylus and Cyathostomum spp.) including arterial larval stages and benzimidazole resistant strains, bots (Gasterophilus spp.), cutaneous onchocerciasis, and other nematodes including Habronema and Draschia spp. which cause skin lesions (summer sores).
How much does one syringe treat?
A complete syringe treats a 600 kg bodyweight horse. The plunger is calibrated in 100 kg weight increments; adjust the locking ring to the required bodyweight. The label dose is 200 µg/kg bodyweight.
Can I use it on foals?
The label states: treat foals from 6 - 8 weeks of age and repeat treatment as appropriate.
