Stealth Miticide & Insecticide is for the control of certain mites and insect pests on crops including Apples, Avocados, Berries, Cotton, Citrus, Custard Apple, Hops, Lychees, Mushrooms, Apaya/pawpaw, Passionfruit, Pears, Tomatoes, Cut Flowers, Ornamentals and Nursery Stock, Strawberries, Certain Vegetables, Duboisia, Oil Tea Tree; and Native Budworm on Cotton.

Cropro Stealth Miticide and Insecticide moves quickly into leaves following application where it remains for several weeks and where it is taken up by sucking mites.

It is important that thorough coverage is achieved so that the maximum amount of product can be deposited on the leaf surface for uptake and subsequent ingestion by sucking mites.

Abamectin that is not absorbed by leaves is quickly degraded.

It is recommended that Stealth Miticide and Insecticide be applied no more than the following amount of times per season/crop and that it is not used consecutively except where a two spray schedule is specifically  recommended:

Cotton:
No more than twice in one season and preferably only once per season.
A second application is only recommended where mite pressure is very high.

Apples, Capsicums, Citrus, Hops, Pears:
One spray per season

Tomatoes:
Two sprays per crop if mites are present, five sprays if mites are not present

Strawberries:
Two sprays per season

Pests that Stealth Miticide and Insecticide target:

Banana spotted mite (Tetranychus lambi), Mushroom pygmy mites (Microdispus lambi), Tea Red Spider Mite (Olygonychus coffeae), Bean or onion thrips (Thrips tabaci), Native Budworm (Helicoverpa punctigera), Tobacco Leafminer (Potato Moth) (Phthorimaea operculella), Broad Mite (Polyphagotarsone mus latus), Passionvine Mite (Brevipalpus phoenicis Geijskes), Tomato Potato Psyllid (Bactericera cockerelli), Brown Citrus Rust Mite (Tegolophus australis), Pyrgo beetle, Tomato Red Spider Mite (Tetranychus evansi), Carmine Spider Mite (Tetranychus cinnabarinus); Queensland fruit fly (QFF) (Bactrocera tryoni), Tomato Russet Mite (Aculops lycopersici), Citrus Rust Mite (Phyllocoptruta oleivora), Red pepper mites (Siteroptes mesembrinae), Two spotted mite (Tetranychus urticae), European Red Mite (Panonychus ulmi), Red spider mite (Tetranychus urticae), Litchi erinose mite (Aceria litchii), Soil borne nematodes of the family Rhabditidae.

Target Pests

Cropro Stealth Miticide & Insecticide is formulated to target both mites and insect pests affecting a range of crops. Likely target pests include Two-spotted mite (Tetranychus urticae), Broad mite, Rust mite, and other phytophagous mite species, as well as common insect pests such as aphids, whitefly, thrips, and various soft-bodied insects. Always check the registered label to confirm the full list of crops and pests for which this product is approved for use under Australian APVMA registration.

Cropro Stealth Miticide & Insecticide is a foliar-applied product designed to control mites and a range of insect pests on susceptible crops. Always read the full product label before use, as application rates and timing will vary depending on the target pest and crop being treated. Mix the required amount of product with water in a clean, well-maintained sprayer — partially fill the tank with water, add the measured product, then top up to the required volume while agitating continuously.

Apply as a thorough foliar spray, ensuring good coverage of the target plant surface, including the underside of leaves where mites and many insects tend to congregate. Use sufficient water volume to achieve complete coverage without excessive run-off. A flat fan or hollow cone nozzle is typically suitable for most foliar applications.

Timing is critical — apply at the first sign of pest activity or at the recommended pest threshold stage for best results. Avoid application if rain is forecast within a short period, as this may reduce product efficacy through wash-off. Do not apply during strong winds or when conditions are likely to cause spray drift onto non-target plants, waterways, or neighbouring properties.

As an S6 Schedule 6 chemical, always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including chemical-resistant gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing during mixing and application. Keep people and animals out of treated areas until the spray has dried. Refer to the product label for withholding periods (WHP), re-entry intervals, and first aid instructions specific to this product.

Always read the current registered product label before use. Dose rates and withholding periods on this page are provided as a guide only. The registered label supplied with the product is the legal document and takes precedence. If in doubt, contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 or the manufacturer directly.

Tips for Best Results

  • Thorough coverage is essential: Mites and many small insects shelter on the underside of leaves — ensure your spray is directed to achieve complete coverage of all plant surfaces, particularly leaf undersides.
  • Rotate chemical groups: To manage resistance, rotate Cropro Stealth with products from a different mode-of-action group each spray cycle. Avoid applying the same chemical group consecutively, especially in high-pressure mite situations common in Queensland summers.
  • Apply in cool, calm conditions: Early morning or late afternoon applications reduce the risk of spray drift and evaporation in Queensland's hot conditions, and help protect beneficial insects where possible.
  • Check water quality: Hard or alkaline water can reduce the efficacy of some miticides and insecticides. Consider using a water conditioner or pH buffer if your bore or dam water is of poor quality.
  • Store correctly: As an S6 chemical, store in a locked, cool, dry, well-ventilated chemical storage area away from children, food, and feed. Keep in original labelled container and dispose of empty containers according to label instructions and local council requirements.
