Tips for Best Results

  • Weigh animals accurately before treatment — never estimate liveweight, as underdosing is a leading driver of drench resistance.
  • Macrocyclic Lactones (MLs) like doramectin are a critical drench class. To help preserve their effectiveness, avoid using MLs as your sole drench class treatment after treatment. WormBoss recommends rotating between drench classes and considering combination treatments where resistance pressure is a concern.
  • Leave a proportion of untreated animals on pasture where practical (refugia management). Maintaining a refugia population of worms that have not been exposed to drenching helps slow the development of resistance — a key WormBoss principle for sustainable parasite control.
  • Store below 30°C, out of direct sunlight, and away from children. Keep the container tightly closed between uses.
  • Record the date, product used, animals treated, dose administered, and withholding period in your animal health register after every treatment.
