Dectomax Injectable is indicated for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal roundworms,
lungworms, sucking lice, biting lice, cattle tick and mange mites.

Key Benefits:

Dectomax Injectable is the high performance sports car of drenches. It’s the method of choice
for Australia’s leading cattle producers to control internal and external parasites in the herd.
Beef cattle can be attacked in two ways. Worms affect their stomach and small and large
intestines, while their skin is affected by external parasites such as lice and ticks.
Dectomax Injectable gets right to where most of the worm damage is caused.
By getting right to the source of the problem, you get less product wastage, a consistent dose and a guarantee that worms will have nowhere to hide.
Dectomax Injectable has also been formulated to minimise pain and tissue reaction and is easy to use.
Dectomax Injectable gets to where it’s needed most – for longer.

Tips for Best Results

  • Weigh every mob before treatment — never estimate liveweight. Underdosing is one of the fastest ways to accelerate drench resistance on your property.
  • Macrocyclic Lactones (ML) such as doramectin are a critical drench class, but resistance in cattle worms is an increasing concern in Queensland. Avoid using MLs as your sole treatment year after year — rotate between drench classes or use combination products where appropriate, based on a drench efficacy test result.
  • Leave a proportion of untreated animals in the mob where practical (refugia management). This WormBoss-recommended strategy maintains a population of worms that have not been exposed to drenching, which dilutes resistant worm genetics on your pasture and slows the development of resistance across your herd.
  • Store Dectomax Injectable below 30°C away from direct sunlight. Keep a treatment record for each mob including date, product, batch number, liveweight and withholding period — this is essential for managing chemical residues and tracking resistance history on your property.
