Tips for Best Results

  • Weigh animals accurately using scales — never guess liveweight. Underdosing is one of the leading causes of drench resistance developing in your herd.
  • Moxidectin belongs to the macrocyclic lactone (ML) drench class. Rotating between drench classes with different modes of action is an important strategy for slowing the development of resistance — talk to the team at TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 about a resistance management plan suited to your property.
  • Leave a proportion of your herd untreated (refugia) where animal welfare and production allow. WormBoss principles highlight that maintaining a population of worms unexposed to treatment is a proven strategy to slow resistance development by diluting resistant genes on your pasture.
  • Store the product according to label directions, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep a treatment record including date, product used, batch number, animals treated, and withholding period end date — good records are essential for compliance and for tracking your parasite management program over time.
