ACCESS HERBICIDE CORTEVA
- Active ingredient
- Triclopyr 240 g/L + Picloram 120 g/L
Access Herbicide is a specialised herbicide for robust control of almost any woody weed via the cut stump or basal bark application technique.
Access Herbicide offers a solution for very targeted woody weed control in environmentally sensitive situations, commercial and industrial areas, public lands, fence lines and pastures.
Access contains the active ingredients Triclopyr (240g/L) and Picloram (120g/L), which have activity on a range of broadleaf weeds.
Access is classified as a Group I Herbicide, with a mode of action where the weed cannot grow due to disruption of plant cell growth.
Features:
Formulation:
Formulated to be mixed with diesel or in environmentally sensitive situations with Biosafe.
Specialised application techniques:
Provides targeted weed control with minimal off-target risk.
Basal bark treatment:
Provides excellent control of thin-barked saplings and multi-stemmed weeds where foliar spraying would be difficult or pose a risk to the environment.
Cut Stump Treatment:
Prevents regrowth of trees following mechanical control.
Active Ingredients:
Picloram @ 120g/L
Triclopyr @ 240g/L
Active Ingredient: Triclopyr 240 g/L + Picloram 120 g/L
Access is a dual-active woody-weed herbicide combining triclopyr (240 g/L) and picloram (120 g/L) in a diesel-soluble formulation, for the selective control of a wide range of woody and noxious weeds — such as lantana, rubber vine, parkinsonia, prickly acacia, blackberry and many wattles — by basal bark and cut-stump application in pastures, fence lines, forestry, rights-of-way, commercial and public land.
Access is designed to be mixed with diesel distillate only — it will not mix with water. Quarter-fill the spray unit with diesel, add the required amount of Access, then top up with diesel and agitate well. Mix only enough for each day's work and use within 24 hours. Apply with hand-directed equipment at low pressure to actively growing, unstressed weeds. Picloram is persistent in soil and can move laterally, so observe buffer zones to waterways, crops and desirable plants. Always read the current product label before use.

Common Questions
What is Access Herbicide used for?
Access Herbicide is a specialised herbicide designed for robust control of woody weeds using cut stump or basal bark application techniques. It's ideal for targeted woody weed control in environmentally sensitive situations, commercial and industrial areas, public lands, fence lines and pastures.
What active ingredients does Access Herbicide contain?
Access Herbicide contains Triclopyr and Picloram. These active ingredients have activity on a range of broadleaf weeds and work by disrupting plant cell growth, preventing the weed from growing.
How do I apply Access Herbicide?
Access Herbicide is formulated to be mixed with diesel or, in environmentally sensitive situations, with Biosafe. It's applied using specialised targeted techniques — basal bark treatment for thin-barked saplings and multi-stemmed weeds, or cut stump treatment to prevent regrowth after mechanical control. Always refer to the product label for detailed application instructions, safety directions and mixing ratios.
Where can I find safety and application information?
Complete safety directions, withholding periods, mixing instructions and application guidance are provided on the registered product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Always read and follow the label before use. If you have questions, contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692, visit us at 55 Tozer St, Gympie, or consult your local agronomist or veterinarian.
Why is Access Herbicide suitable for environmentally sensitive areas?
Access Herbicide provides targeted weed control with minimal off-target risk through specialised cut stump and basal bark application techniques. This approach reduces the need for broad foliar spraying and can be mixed with Biosafe in environmentally sensitive situations, making it a responsible choice for sensitive landscapes.
