Troy Vitamin ADE Injection for cattle, sheep & pigs. For the treatment and prevention of vitamin A, D & E deficiencies in cattle, sheep & pigs.
Available in a 500mL plastic bottle ready for injection, with a draw-off tube included.
Active constituents (per mL)
500,000 IU Retinol (as the palmitate) (Vitamin A)
50,000 IU Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3)
50 mg Alpha tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E)
Dose (intramuscular injection only)
Cows: 5 mL at least twice per year and 30 days prior to calving
Calves: 1 mL during the first week after birth
Sheep: 1–2 mL at least twice per year
Lambs: 0.5 mL as soon as possible after birth
Pigs: 2–3 mL. Sows: one injection upon placement in farrowing house and a second injection during the first week after farrowing. Boars: one injection 1–2 weeks prior to breeding season.
Piglets: 0.25–0.5 mL during the first week after birth
Caution: avoid carcass damage
Sterilise all injection apparatus by boiling before use. Avoid use of strong disinfectants on apparatus.
Maintain cleanliness at all times.
Keep needles sharp and clean. Replace frequently.
Use needles of appropriate gauge and length.
As far as possible, avoid injection of animals in wet weather or under dusty conditions.
This product must be injected only into muscle tissues.
If possible, inject into muscle tissue on side of neck.
Use the contents of this vial within 6 months of first broaching the vial. Discard the unused portion.

Store below 25 °C (air conditioning). Protect from light.

How is it given?
Intramuscular injection only. The label gives the dose for each class: cows 5 mL, calves 1 mL, sheep 1–2 mL, lambs 0.5 mL, pigs 2–3 mL and piglets 0.25–0.5 mL, with the timing for each class stated on the label. If possible, inject into muscle tissue on side of neck.
