Target Pests
Surefire Insectigone Insecticide (10 g/L deltamethrin, Group 3A synthetic pyrethroid) is registered for the control of cockroaches, spiders, ants, fleas, silverfish, bed bugs, bird mites, carpet beetles, clothes moths, flies, mosquitoes and stored product pests in and around domestic, commercial, industrial and public buildings (including food-processing premises, shops, factories, offices, schools and hospitals) and external areas; bark, furniture and powderpost beetles in freshly felled logs, poles and posts; and quarantine pests on cut flowers for export. Refer to the product label for the full list of registered pests and situations.
Surefire Insectigone Insecticide should be mixed and applied strictly in accordance with the product label. Always read the full label before use, as application rates, water volumes and method of application vary with the target pest and situation.
Label mixing rates: initial pest-control treatments 150 mL per 100 m² and maintenance treatments 75 mL per 100 m², diluted in 5 L of water for non-porous surfaces or 10 L of water for porous surfaces; cut flowers for export 250 mL per 100 L water (submerge flowers for at least 1 minute); freshly felled logs, poles and posts 100 mL in 10 L water per 100 m². Part-fill the sprayer with clean water, add the required amount of product and top up while agitating. Tips for Best Results
- Always read the full product label before use — application rates, withholding periods, and safety requirements are specific to this product and must be followed for legal and safe use.
- Apply during the cooler parts of the day (early morning or late afternoon) where possible to reduce evaporation, and target insects when they are most active.
- Rotate chemical groups (mode of action) between spray applications to reduce the risk of insecticide resistance developing in pest populations — check the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) group listed on the label.
- Ensure thorough coverage of the target area, including cracks, crevices and harbourage areas where pests shelter — poor coverage is one of the most common causes of reduced efficacy.
- Store the product in its original container in a cool, dry, locked chemical storage area away from children, livestock, feed, and waterways, as per label and Australian chemical storage regulations.
Always read the label and follow directions for use. The registered label is the legal document governing use of this product.
