Racumin 8 is a concentrated coumatetralyl powder used either as a tracking powder or mixed into a bait. Tracking powder: sprinkle the concentrate, not too finely, in rodent holes, along runs and around hiding places; leave in place for at least 5 days and replenish as required. Rodents pick up the powder on their fur and ingest it when grooming. Bait preparation: mix 1 part by weight of Racumin 8 with 20 parts of a suitable bait material such as cereals or fruit. Place 30–60 g of prepared bait per heap or bait station, with placements not more than 9 m apart for rats and 3 m apart for mice (field crops: 60–100 g prepared bait per station; pineapples: 60 g per station at 9 m intervals). Inspect regularly and replenish until feeding stops. Do not place baits in the open unless in bait stations, and never where accessible to children, livestock or domestic pets. Registered situations include sugar cane, macadamias, pineapples and other field crops, meatworks, farm buildings, domestic, industrial and wharf areas. Wear gloves and wash hands after use. Refer to the registered label for full directions.
