Pigout 1080 Econobait Feral Pig Bait. For reductions in feral pig populations.

Active constituent: 0.34 g/kg sodium fluoroacetate (1080). Each bait contains 24 mg sodium fluoroacetate (1080). Registered pack sizes: 700 g to 21 kg (10 to 300 70 g baits).

Restricted chemical product - only to be supplied to or used by an authorised person. Not to be used in domestic or home garden situations.

DO NOT apply by aircraft. Baits should be applied wherever possible in HogHopper bait stations.

Baits must be placed at least 150m from a dwelling; 20m from a permanent or flowing water body; 5m from boundary fences; and 5m from the edge of formed public roadways or as specified by State/Territory Regulations.

Neighbours must be notified to allow them to take appropriate action. This notification should be in writing and should be given to all adjoining landholders at least 72 hours in advance. A record of the notifications must be kept. Baiting must commence within 10 days of notification. Users must ensure that signs are put up immediately before 1080 poisoning operations commence. Signs must be maintained for at least 4 weeks after the authorised period of bait lay has expired or after all untaken baits have been collected.

Restrain or muzzle dogs to prevent domestic dogs or working dogs gaining access to 1080 baits or poisoned pig carcasses.

Allow 3-6 PIGOUT Econobaits per pig estimated to be present in area to be treated. Lay groups of baits clustered around areas of localized pig infestation. Baits should be applied wherever possible in HogHopper bait stations. DO NOT apply by aircraft. Pre-feeding with non-poisoned PIGOUT Econobait or with grain is conducted to draw feral pigs to a baiting site. Pre-feeding to attract pigs to a baiting site will increase likelihood of effective control. Baits must be placed at least 150m from a dwelling; 20m from a permanent or flowing water body; 5m from boundary fences; and 5m from the edge of formed public roadways or as specified by State/Territory Regulations. Restrain or muzzle dogs to prevent domestic dogs or working dogs gaining access to 1080 baits or poisoned pig carcasses. Unconsumed baits must be buried in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury any unused baits 500 mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots, in compliance with local state or territory government regulations. Do not burn unconsumed baits. To the extent possible, animal carcasses should be recovered during and for 14 days after a baiting campaign and be destroyed by burning or burial according to the requirements of the State or Territory in which use has occurred. DO NOT feed baits to non-target animals including birds. DO NOT apply baits to, or in, crops which are in mid to late development stages; DO NOT apply baits to, or in, crops if contamination of produce is likely to occur; DO NOT contaminate dams, rivers, streams, waterways or drains with the product or used containers. Exclude stock from the baited area for the period while baits are deployed and for a minimum of two months from the date of bait placement if the baits are not being deployed in the targeted delivery device such as the HOGHOPPER. If the baits are deployed in a targeted delivery hopper device such as the HOGHOPPER, stock do not need to be removed from the baited areas. Toxic to birds and other native wildlife. TASMANIA: Avoid baiting in areas likely to contain isolated populations of bettongs or potoroos.
