For the control of certain insect pests on bananas, crucifers, macadamias, ornamentals, potatoes, tobacco and tomatoes as specified in the Directions for Use table.
Pests (per label table, state restrictions apply): banana scab moth, banana flower thrips and banana rust thrips (bananas); cabbage moth, cabbage white butterfly, cabbage aphid and heliothis (Brussels sprouts, cabbages, cauliflowers, broccoli); macadamia nut borer, fruit spotting bug, banana spotting bug, leafminer, redshouldered leaf beetle, flower eating caterpillar and flower thrips (macadamias); aphids and heliothis (ornamentals); potato moth (potatoes); heliothis, tobacco looper, whitefly, cluster caterpillar, stem borer and budworm (tobacco); potato moth, heliothis and aphids (tomatoes).
Active constituent: 970 g/kg Acephate (an anticholinesterase compound). Group 1B insecticide.
Withholding periods: Bananas, macadamias, ornamentals – not required when used as directed. Brussels sprouts, cabbages, cauliflowers, potatoes, tomatoes – do not harvest for 3 days after application. Broccoli, tobacco – do not harvest for 14 days after application.
Restraints and safety: Harmful to bees - DO NOT apply during active foraging of bees and avoid spraying at flowering time. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with this product or the used container. Poisonous if absorbed by skin contact, inhaled or swallowed. Repeated minor exposure may have a cumulative poisoning effect. Will irritate the eyes. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not inhale dust or spray mist.

What crops is Orthene Xtra registered for?
The label claim is for the control of certain insect pests on bananas, crucifers, macadamias, ornamentals, potatoes, tobacco and tomatoes as specified in the Directions for Use table. Crucifers on the label are Brussels sprouts, cabbages, cauliflowers and broccoli.
How is it mixed?
Add the required amount to the full volume of water in the spray or mixing tank with the agitator in operation, and ensure that the granules are completely dissolved before spraying.
