Target Pests

Acephate 970 is registered to control the following pests, by crop, under APVMA approval 84931:

• Bananas: Banana Scab Moth, Banana Flower Thrip, Banana Rust Thrip
• Crucifers (Cabbages, Cauliflowers, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts): Cabbage Moth, Cabbage White Butterfly, Cabbage Aphid, Heliothis
• Macadamias: Macadamia Nut Borer, Fruit Spotting Bug, Leafminer, Flower Eating Caterpillar, Red-shouldered Leaf Beetle, Flower Thrips, Banana Spotting Bug
• Ornamentals: Aphids, Heliothis
• Potatoes: Potato Moth (Tobacco Leafminer)
• Tomatoes: Potato Moth (Tobacco Leafminer), Heliothis, Aphids
• Tobacco: Heliothis, Budworm, Tobacco Looper, Whitefly, Cluster Caterpillar, Stem Borer

Imtrade Acephate 970 SG Insecticide is for the control of certain insect pests on Bananas, Crucifiers, Macadamias, Ornamentals, Potatoes, Tomatoes and Tobacco, at the crop, pest, state and rate combinations in the label Directions for Use table. Mixing: Add the required amount of Imtrade Acephate 970 SG Insecticide to the full volume of water in the spray or mixing tank with the agitator in operation. Application: Good pest control requires even, thorough coverage of the target area. Application should be made using appropriate spray equipment and sufficient water. Re-entry: DO NOT allow entry into, or perform agronomic practices in, treated areas until the spray deposits have dried. Resistance: Imtrade Acephate 970 SG Insecticide is a Group 1B Insecticide. Bees: Harmful to Bees. DO NOT apply during active foraging of Bees and avoid spraying at flowering time. Avoid spray drift from target area. Safety: When opening the container, preparing spray and using the prepared spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat, elbow-length PVC gloves and face shield. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. Ornamentals: DO NOT apply to Carnations less than 6 days before picking. DO NOT spray more than once every 28 days on Carnations and Chrysanthemums. Crop safety: Imtrade Acephate 970 SG Insecticide may cause foliage damage to certain shrubs and trees e.g. Crab Apple, Cotton Wood, Lombardy Poplar and American Elm. Certain Chrysanthemum varieties e.g. Showoff, Iceberg, Albatross, Bonnie Jean and Statesman have, on occasions, been damaged by Imtrade Acephate 970 SG Insecticide.
