General Instructions:
This product can be used for either pre- or post-emergence weed control depending on the crop and weeds to be controlled.
When the product is applied pre-emergence, susceptible weeds may emerge but growth will be retarded and weeds will either die or remain stunted and will not compete with the crop.
Adequate soil moisture is important for optimum activity.

A non-ionic surfactant, or an adjuvant as specified in the directions for use, must be added to Image 700 WG Herbicide for post-emergence weed control.
The addition of Spraymate Liase Liquid Herbicide Adjuvant at a rate of 2 L/100L water may assist in postemergence control of summer growing weeds.

Image 700 WG is a water-dispersible granule herbicide containing 700 g/kg imazethapyr, a Group B (ALS-inhibiting, imidazolinone) herbicide registered for pre- or post-emergence control of certain broadleaf and grass weeds in chickpeas, faba beans, field peas, lucerne, mung beans, peanuts, serradella, soybeans and Centrosema (Cavalcade). Pre-emergence: apply after planting and before crop emergence. Post-emergence: apply to actively growing weeds from cotyledon to 4-leaf stage. Label rates are crop and situation specific (approximately 45–140 g/ha; e.g. 70 g/ha in faba beans and field peas, 100 g/ha pre-emergence in mung beans, peanuts and soybeans) — refer to the registered label for the rate for your crop and weed spectrum.
Add a non-ionic surfactant at 200 mL/100 L water (or an approved spray oil such as Hasten or Kwickin at 500 mL/100 L) for post-emergence applications. Mix the granules into a half-filled tank with agitation running and keep agitating. Avoid application to waterlogged soils, soils high in organic matter, or crops under stress.
Withholding period: DO NOT graze or cut treated crops for stock food for 14 days after application. Harvest WHP not required when used as directed. Imazethapyr has soil residual activity — plant-back intervals for following crops range from 0 to 34 months depending on crop, region and rainfall; check the label plant-back table before planting rotational crops (e.g. cereals, canola).

Tips for Best Results
- Match timing to the weed stage: post-emergence applications work best on small, actively growing weeds (cotyledon to 4-leaf) that are not stressed by drought, frost or waterlogging.
- Always add a surfactant post-emergence: a non-ionic surfactant at 200 mL/100 L (or approved spray oil at 500 mL/100 L) is required for post-emergence weed control.
- Plan your rotation: imazethapyr is soil-residual. Check the label plant-back table before sowing follow-up cereals, canola or other sensitive crops — intervals can extend to 34 months in some situations.
- Resistance management: Image 700 WG is a Group B herbicide. Do not rely on Group B products alone across seasons; rotate with other modes of action where the label permits.
