What is Exiguard used for?
It is a special formulation for use in cattle backrubbers and as an overspray for control of buffalo fly. It is registered for use in Qld, WA, NSW and NT only.
Can I use it on dairy cattle?
Overspray can be used on beef and dairy cattle. Backrubber use is for beef cattle, and it is NOT TO BE USED on lactating cows where milk may be used or processed for human consumption when treatment is by backrubber application.
What are the withholding periods?
Meat: zero (0) days. Milk (when used as a backspray): zero (0) days; do not use by backrubber on lactating cows where milk may be used for human consumption. How is the overspray mixed and applied?
Mix 20 mL per 1 L water (1:50) and apply 50 mL/150 kg liveweight of the dilute mix as a coarse spray. Treatment at intervals of 21 days during the buffalo fly season is recommended (minimum permitted retreatment interval is 10 days), with no more than 18 overspray treatments in any one year.

It is classified as environmentally hazardous (a marine pollutant), so it is regulated as a dangerous good for sea and air transport and our freight carriers will not accept it on those routes. Can you deliver this to Tasmania?
Not at this time. This product is environmentally hazardous (a marine pollutant), so it is regulated as a dangerous good for sea and air freight and our carriers do not accept it on those routes. As every route to Tasmania involves a sea or air crossing, we can only deliver it within mainland Australia by road.
