Tips for Best Results

  • Weigh animals accurately using a weigh scale — never estimate liveweight. Underdosing is a leading driver of drench resistance on Australian properties.
  • Moxidectin is a Macrocyclic Lactone (ML or Group 3). ML resistance is well established in Barber's pole worm across Queensland. Rotate drench classes between treatments and consider using combination products or conducting Drench Resistance Tests (DrenchCheck or DrenchTest via WormBoss) to know what's actually working on your property.
  • Leave a proportion of your cattle untreated at each drench event where appropriate — this refugia management approach is recommended by WormBoss to dilute resistant worm populations on pasture and slow the development of resistance over time. Talk to your vet or advisor before adjusting your program.
  • Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use. Record the date, mob, liveweight, dose applied, and batch number after every treatment — good records support both resistance management and trade compliance.
