Tips for Best Results
- Apply carefully along the full length of the backline to ensure even distribution and maximise residual activity — coverage matters with pour-on formulations.
- Pyrethroid resistance in Buffalo fly is well established across many parts of Queensland, including the Gympie region. Because Brute Y-Tex uses a non-cyano pyrethroid (permethrin), crossover resistance from other pyrethroid classes tends to be lower — but resistance monitoring in your mob is still important. Rotate between insecticide classes (e.g. organophosphates, macrocyclic lactones) across treatment cycles and avoid over-relying on any single mode of action. Speak to the team at TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 for advice on a resistance management rotation suited to your area.
- The product can be used in conjunction with Y-Tex insecticidal ear tags as part of a strategic insecticide management program — combining modes of action and delivery methods is a sound resistance management approach, consistent with integrated parasite control principles.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, out of reach of children and animals. Keep the container tightly sealed. Record each treatment — animal ID or mob, date, dose applied, and product batch number — to stay within the 3-treatment-per-year limit and to support any future resistance investigations.
Always read the label and follow directions for use. The registered label is the legal document governing use of this product.
