Woody Extra Herbicide, made from Aminopyralid, Picloram & Triclopyr, controls various environmental and noxious woody and herbaceous weeds.
These three ingredients provide excellent broad-spectrum control of even the most difficult-to-kill weeds with extended residual activity.

Apparent Woody Extra is effective against a broad range of woody weeds and broadleaf species common in Queensland and across Australia, including lantana (Lantana camara), prickly acacia (Vachellia nilotica), rubber vine (Cryptostegia grandiflora), leucaena, camphor laurel, chinee apple (Ziziphus mauritiana), parkinsonia (Parkinsonia aculeata), giant rat's tail grass (via associated broadleaf weeds), tobacco bush (Solanum mauritianum), sicklepod (Senna obtusifolia), and various other broadleaf pasture and environmental weeds. The combination of Picloram and Triclopyr provides strong systemic activity, making it particularly effective on established woody and shrubby species that are difficult to control with single-mode herbicides. Always confirm your target species is listed on the current product label before use.
Apparent Woody Extra is a selective broadleaf and woody weed herbicide combining Picloram (100 g/L) and Triclopyr (200 g/L). It is registered for use as a foliar spray, basal bark treatment, cut stump application, and stem injection, depending on the target species and situation. Always refer to the product label for specific rates and methods suited to your target weed and situation.
For foliar applications, mix the required volume of product with water in a partially filled tank, agitate well, and top up to final volume. A compatible surfactant or penetrant may be recommended — check the label for guidance. Apply to actively growing weeds with good leaf coverage. Avoid application if rain is expected within 1–2 hours, as washoff will significantly reduce efficacy.
For basal bark and cut stump treatments, mix with a penetrant oil (such as diesel or a registered penetrant oil) as directed on the label. Apply to the lower bark or freshly cut stump surface to ensure absorption. Stem injection is suitable for larger woody species — apply the correct volume per injection site as specified on the label.
Do not apply near desirable broadleaf plants, crops, or trees where root uptake or spray drift could cause damage. Picloram is persistent in soil and can move laterally, so observe all buffer zones to waterways and sensitive vegetation. Do not use on or near food or feed crops unless specifically registered for that use.

Tips for Best Results
- Treat actively growing weeds: Best results are achieved when target plants are actively growing and not stressed by drought, frost, or waterlogging. In Queensland, late wet season or early dry season often provides ideal conditions for foliar treatments when plants are lush and translocating nutrients.
- Observe withholding periods and grazing restrictions: Picloram-based products have specific withholding periods for grazing and hay/fodder — always check the label before allowing stock back into treated areas, particularly with susceptible species such as goats and horses.
- Protect non-target broadleaf plants: Picloram is highly active on broadleaf species and can persist in soil. Avoid treating near shelterbelts, gardens, or remnant vegetation. Do not use treated plant material as mulch near sensitive species.
- Use the right application method for the situation: Foliar spraying suits dense infestations; basal bark and cut stump methods are better for isolated plants or in areas where spray drift is a risk. Matching the method to the situation improves control and reduces off-target impact.
- Storage and safety: This is a Schedule 6 (S6) poison — store in a locked, cool, dry location away from children, pets, and foodstuffs.
