ACATAK Duostar Tick Development Inhibitor and Broad Spectrum Pour-On contains 15 g/L fluazuron and 5 g/L ivermectin (a member of the avermectin (macrocyclic lactone) family).
For strategic control of fluazuron susceptible cattle tick, Rhipicephalus microplus, including strains resistant to organophosphates, synthetic pyrethroids and amidines, on beef cattle.
For the treatment and control of ivermectin sensitive internal and external parasites of beef cattle: gastrointestinal roundworms (small brown stomach worm, barber's pole worm, stomach hair worm, intestinal hair worm, small intestinal worm, nodule worm, whipworm, intestinal threadworm, thin necked intestinal worm), lungworm, eyeworm, sucking and biting lice, chorioptic and sarcoptic mites and buffalo flies.
Applied at the recommended dose of 5 mL/50 kg liveweight, ACATAK Duostar controls infestations of buffalo fly for up to 7 days after treatment.
Application
Apply as 2 x 7 cm wide bands, from the shoulder to the rump, that are well separated on either side of the spine. Use an Elanco approved applicator. DO NOT use any other applicator. Dose individuals according to the heaviest animal in the mob. DO NOT underdose.
Restraint
DO NOT USE on cattle which are producing or may in the future produce milk for human consumption.
Contraindication
This product is contraindicated for use on pregnant cows within 6 weeks of calving to avoid handling stress.

What does Acatak Duostar control?
It is for strategic control of fluazuron susceptible cattle tick (Rhipicephalus microplus), including strains resistant to organophosphates, synthetic pyrethroids and amidines, and for the treatment and control of ivermectin sensitive internal and external parasites of beef cattle, including roundworms, lungworm, eyeworm, lice, mites and buffalo flies.
Can it be used on dairy cattle?
No. DO NOT USE on cattle which are producing or may in the future produce milk for human consumption.
How is it applied?
Apply as 2 x 7 cm wide bands, from the shoulder to the rump, well separated on either side of the spine, using an Elanco approved applicator only. Dose according to the heaviest animal in the mob and DO NOT underdose.
How often can I treat?
Retreat when you first see ticks but not before at least 6 weeks after the previous treatment. The maximum number of treatments per annual tick season is 3.
