Zolvix Plus is a unique combination drench that contains monepantel, the only member of the amino-acetonitrile derivative or orange class of anthelmintics, and abamectin.
As short-acting, broad spectrum drenches with different modes of action, monepantel and abamectin are ideal combination partners.
Zolvix Plus controls all economically important roundworms, including adult and immature L4 stages of Barbers pole worm, Small brown stomach worm, Black scour worm, Stomach hair worm, Thin necked intestinal worm, Small intestinal worm, Large mouthed bowel worm and large bowel worm.
Zolvix Plus delivers above 99.9% efficacy against a broad spectrum of sensitive nematodes.
Zolvix Plus is also effective against AAD-sensitive immature (L4) stages of Haemonchus contortus and Teladorsagia circumcincta in sheep where a combination of a macrocyclic lactone and derquantel is less effective.
Zolvix Plus is registered for the control of roundworms with single, double or triple resistance to macrocyclic lactone (including moxidectin), white, clear and closantel (Haemonchus contortus only) drenches, or their combinations.
It is particularly suitable for use if the resistance status is unknown.
Zolvix Plus has an Export Slaughter Interval of 21 days, the lowest of any two-, three- or four-way combination drench containing abamectin.
Zolvix Plus delivers premium protection without impacting your management or marketing options.
Always administer Zolvix Plus in compliance with best practice:
Test and monitor drench efficacy regularly
Only use fully effective drenches
Use combination drenches wherever possible
Only use long-acting products during high worm-risk conditions and in combination with a primer/exit drench
Quarantine drench all introduced/returning sheep with four active ingredients (including monepantel or derquantel)
Incorporate grazing management to create low risk pastures

Common Questions
What roundworms does Zolvix Plus control?
Zolvix Plus is a broad-spectrum drench that controls all economically important roundworms in sheep, including Barbers pole worm, Small brown stomach worm, Black scour worm, Stomach hair worm, Thin necked intestinal worm, Small intestinal worm, Large mouthed bowel worm and large bowel worm. It targets both adult and immature L4 stages of these parasites.
What makes Zolvix Plus different from other combination drenches?
Zolvix Plus combines monepantel (the only member of the orange class of anthelmintics) with abamectin. These two actives have different modes of action and work together as short-acting, broad-spectrum partners. Zolvix Plus is also registered for use against roundworms with single, double or triple resistance to macrocyclic lactone, white, clear and closantel drenches, making it particularly useful when resistance status is unknown.
What is the Export Slaughter Interval for Zolvix Plus?
Zolvix Plus has an Export Slaughter Interval of 21 days — the lowest of any two-, three- or four-way combination drench containing abamectin. This helps minimise impact on your management and marketing options.
Are there any animals I shouldn't treat with Zolvix Plus?
Zolvix Plus should not be used in lambs under 6 weeks of age or less than 10 kg body weight. How should I use Zolvix Plus as part of best practice worm management?
The label recommends a comprehensive approach: test and monitor drench efficacy regularly, only use fully effective drenches, use combination drenches wherever possible, reserve long-acting products for high worm-risk conditions and use them with a primer/exit drench, quarantine-drench all introduced or returning sheep with four active ingredients, and incorporate grazing management to create low-risk pastures. Always follow the registered product label for detailed instructions on administration, safety and re-treatment intervals, or speak to your vet or agronomist for personalised advice.
