Ranvet's Yellow Lotion. Antiseptic, astringent wound lotion. Signal heading: POISON (Schedule 6). For animal treatment only. Do not swallow.
The label says: "For treating granulating wounds, girth galls, inflamed bruises and sprains, severe cuts and abrasions on HORSES."
Ranvet's Yellow Lotion promotes healing in granulating wounds and helps stop the formation of "proud flesh". It promotes a dry surface, resistant to infection, without forming an undesirable hard crust on the wound. Ranvet's Yellow Lotion has a soothing, astringent action for treating sprains and bruises, especially of tendons.
Directions for use: SHAKE BOTTLE WELL. Soak a pad of cotton wool in YELLOW LOTION and bandage onto affected area. Apply a fresh dressing daily until wound heals. Areas difficult to bandage should be dabbed liberally and frequently each day. Use protective gloves.
Meat withholding period (horses): NIL.
