Simply slide the RTSDC5 dust cover over the strainer outlet of your RTS005 Rapidplas water tank to prevent debris, dust, and insects from contaminating your livestock water supply. Ensure the cover sits securely and flush against the strainer housing. Check the cover weekly during high dust periods and remove any accumulated debris by hand or with a soft brush. Replace the cover if it becomes damaged or cracked to maintain water quality. Tips: In Queensland's hot summers, when cattle water consumption can reach 100L per day, a clean strainer and dust cover are essential to prevent algae growth and contamination that can reduce drinking appeal. Keep the cover on when the trough is not actively being filled to minimise exposure to airborne dust and insects. Store the cover in a shaded area when not in use to prevent UV degradation.
