Made in Australia from Waratah grade specific steel this is the strongest, toughest, and most flexible Waratah post ever made.

• 200 JiO Star posts are sold in ‘quick release’ packs - 20 sub bundles of 10 posts each with handle for easier movement.

Available in 135cm, 150cm, 165cm, 180cm, 210cm and 240cm lengths.

Fence post spacing — a quick guideLine posts (star pickets) carry the wires between your strainer posts. As a rough starting point: crop or exclusion fence about 5 m, sheep about 4 m, cattle about 4 m on flat ground and about 3 m on hilly ground. Space them closer together for more wires, larger or pushier stock, and undulating country. Let your strainer posts do the anchoring at ends, corners, gateways and any change of direction or slope.

Drive the 165cm Waratah Galstar JIO post into the ground using a post driver to approximately 500-600mm depth. This shorter post suits low-clearance fencing applications, internal paddock subdivision, laneway systems, or supplemental support posts within an existing fence line. Tips: 165cm posts driven to 500mm give about 100-115cm above ground, suitable for internal paddock fencing for cattle and sheep. For horse fencing, consider taller posts to achieve safe rail heights.

Common Questions

What makes the Waratah Galstar Jio different from a standard Y post?

The Jio has innovative oval shaped holes instead of round holes, which give you more attachment options for fencing. The holes line up with traditional Y posts and work with clips, ties, and electrics, so you've got more flexibility when setting up your fence.

How is this post protected from rust?

It's hot dipped galvanized, which provides the best steel corrosion protection. This coating is applied at a minimum thickness to give you long-lasting durability in outdoor conditions.

Is this post easy to install?

Yes, the Jio is designed to be easy and quick to install with a manual post driver, so you can get your fence up without needing specialist gear.

What's included when I buy these posts?

The 200 Jio Star posts come in 'quick release' packs—20 sub bundles of 10 posts each with a handle. This makes them much easier to move and handle on site compared to one big bundle.
