180CM WARATAH GALSTAR JIO STEEL POST ONESTEEL 303672 at a glance

Made in Australia from Waratah grade specific steel this is the strongest, toughest, and most flexible Waratah post ever made.

Hot dipped galvanized coating (min 600g/m2) provides the best steel corrosion protection.

The innovative oval shaped holes make it suitable for all fencing applications with more attachment options than other Y posts with round holes.

More Jio post holes improve wire alignment and attachment.

The holes are designed to line up with traditional Y posts with round holes and allow for multiple accessory options like clips, ties, and electrics.

The Jio is easy and quick to install with a manual post driver.

Use with Jio wire clips for fast & secure fixing of wires and with other accessories such as ties and electrics.

Fence post spacing — a quick guideLine posts (star pickets) carry the wires between your strainer posts. As a rough starting point: crop or exclusion fence about 5 m, sheep about 4 m, cattle about 4 m on flat ground and about 3 m on hilly ground. Space them closer together for more wires, larger or pushier stock, and undulating country. Let your strainer posts do the anchoring at ends, corners, gateways and any change of direction or slope.

Drive the 180cm Waratah Galstar JIO post to 600mm depth using a post driver, giving approximately 120cm above ground — the standard depth for 5-strand cattle or sheep boundary fencing. The JIO (Just In One) profile grips soil in a single downward drive for fast installation. Attach wire at the pre-formed notches using Waratah droppers, staples, or Gripple joiners. Tips: The JIO profile grips soil in one direction, so drive straight down rather than at an angle. Set corner and gate posts first, run your string line, then drive intermediates. Space posts at 2.4-3m intervals for standard fencing, closer for high-pressure applications or electric ribbon/tape systems.
