What weeds does Vigilant II control?
The label covers woody weeds (including cotoneaster, gorse, Japanese honeysuckle, tree privet, wild tobacco tree, willows), rhizomatous plants (including agapanthus, canna lily) and herbaceous weeds (including bull thistle, capeweed, docks, Paterson's curse, prickly lettuce).
How is it applied?
By direct application: a 3–5 mm layer on freshly cut stumps or stems, a 5 mm layer in blazes cut around tree trunks, or by wiping neat gel onto at least 50% of the leaves of rosette plants.
Where can I use it?
In non-crop areas, including native vegetation, conservation areas, gullies, reserves and parks. The label states DO NOT use in turf or lawns or in the urban home garden.
How long does it take to work?
The label states some visible effects should be apparent within 2–3 months, but total plant death may take from 6 months to 2 growing seasons after application.
