VALOR 500 WG Herbicide contains 500 g/kg flumioxazin, a Group 14 herbicide. For knockdown and residual control of broadleaf weeds and grasses in a range of broadacre crops and fallow, and in non-crop situations.
VALOR 500 WG Herbicide is a water dispersible granule formulation contained within a water soluble bag. Addition of VALOR 500 WG Herbicide to knockdown products will increase the speed at which treated weeds develop visible symptoms of phytotoxicity.
Weeds listed on the label for sugarcane and tea tree include
Calopo, wild rose, square weed/Borreria, bluetop/billygoat weed, sicklepod, common sida, spider flower and Ipomoea spp. (bell vine, morning glory, pink convolvulus, red convolvulus, star of Bethlehem).
Sugarcane use notes from the label
- Apply VALOR 500 WG Herbicide as a directed spray to the base of the cane plants.
- To ensure knockdown in vines the growing tip needs to be sprayed.
- If Calopo or Sicklepod are present then the addition of atrazine may improve knockdown.
- Non ionic surfactants may be used but addition of a crop oil concentrate such as Hasten may give a better result.
- Great care must be taken not to allow glyphosate to drift on to cane.
- DO NOT apply for enhanced knockdown if weeds are stressed from drought, frost or waterlogging.
- DO NOT apply for residual weed control until the start of summer rains when significant soil wetting rain has occurred or the soil has been irrigated.
- DO NOT apply more than 700 g/ha per year.

What does VALOR 500 WG control?
It is for knockdown and residual control of broadleaf weeds and grasses in a range of broadacre crops and fallow, and in non-crop situations. Weeds listed vary by situation – for example wild radish, capeweed, sowthistle and Paterson's curse in pre-sowing knockdown, annual ryegrass and wild oats in wheat (IBS), and calopo, sicklepod, spider flower and Ipomoea spp. in sugarcane.
What crops and situations is it registered for?

Can I mix it with other herbicides?
Yes, as directed on the label. For the pre-sowing knockdown spike it is used at 30 g/ha with glyphosate or with either paraquat or a diquat/paraquat mixture. In sugarcane, if Calopo or Sicklepod are present then the addition of atrazine may improve knockdown. Addition of VALOR 500 WG to knockdown products will increase the speed at which treated weeds develop visible symptoms of phytotoxicity.
Are there withholding periods?
Harvest: not required when used as directed, except sugarcane (do not harvest for 22 weeks after application). Grazing periods vary by use from 2 to 22 weeks, and livestock must not graze treated cotton crop, stubble or gin trash. Check the label for your crop.
