Zoetis Vibrovax Vaccine is for the prevention of Bovine Venereal Campylobacteriosis (Vibriosis). Vibrovax Vaccine may be used for the prevention of infertility and abortion in cattle caused by Campylobacter fetus infection.
Adult cows and heifers more than 18 months old
Previously unvaccinated animals should be given a single dose of 5 mL. Thereafter, give either one dose of 5 mL every two years or one dose of 2 mL annually. Animals should be vaccinated about four to six weeks before the commencement of mating.
Heifers less than 18 months old
Two doses of 5 mL. The second dose should be administered not less than four weeks after the first dose. Vaccination should be timed so that the second dose is given about four to six weeks before the commencement of mating.
Bulls
Two doses each of 5 mL. The second dose should be administered not less than four weeks after the first dose. Thereafter, give one dose of 5 mL annually. Vaccination in the month prior to joining will not affect semen quality in vaccinated bulls.
Use and storage
For subcutaneous use only. Shake well before use and keep thoroughly mixed during use. Store between 2°C and 8°C (Refrigerate. Do not freeze). Protect from light. Use all product within 12 hours of opening. Residual vaccine left in the container must be discarded and not retained for future use.
Contraindications and caution
This vaccine is not suitable for the immunisation of sheep. Caution: avoid carcass damage.
