Tarwon Sabi Grass (Urochloa mosambicensis) is a warm-season perennial pasture grass suited to tropical and subtropical grazing systems. It is drought tolerant once established and is adapted to a range of soil types from loams through to heavy clays, with a preference for alkaline soils.
This seed is supplied with Selected Seeds BettaFlow® coating, designed to improve the handling, sowing and establishment of light subtropical pasture seed.
Planting rate: 3–15 kg/ha of BettaFlow-coated seed. Use lower rates when included in a pasture mixture and higher rates when establishing a pure Sabi grass stand.
Minimum rainfall: Approximately 500 mm annually.
Best suited for: Grazing pastures, pasture renovation and tropical/subtropical pasture mixtures.
