Position the 1000LT tyre trough on firm, level ground in a central, accessible location in the paddock so all stock can reach it regardless of herd hierarchy. Bed it down so it sits stable when full and cannot be tipped or moved by livestock. Connect your water supply to the 40mm inlet — it takes a standard float valve so the trough refills automatically and holds a constant water level. The 50mm drain outlet lets you empty the trough quickly and completely for cleaning. Check that the float valve and inlet are free of leaks and blockages before putting stock onto it.
