Mount the antenna panel on the side of your race, crush or weigh point using the supplied reinforced mounting hardware, positioning it so each animal passes within about 1.2m of the panel as it walks past or is weighed. Plug the attached 6m cable straight into your TWR Weigh Scale using the waterproof connector — no separate EID reader controller is needed. Switch on the TWR Weigh Scale; the antenna is powered by the scale and tunes itself automatically, so there's no calibration to do. As animals move past, their ISO EID ear tags (HDX and FDX-B) are read and the tag numbers recorded on the scale. Tips: Mount the panel clear of large metal objects where you can, and keep the cable connectors clean and dry for a reliable read. Line it up so each animal passes squarely in front of the panel to capture every tag. If a tag doesn't read, check the cable connection at the scale and that the animal is within the 1.2m read range.
