Use this brush to clean calf drencher tubes, calfeteria tubing and Trusti Tuber feeding tubes. Rinse the tube first to remove loose milk or colostrum residue. Insert the twisted-wire brush into the tube and work it back and forth along the full length, using warm water and a suitable dairy detergent or sanitiser to loosen and remove build-up. Rinse the tube thoroughly after brushing, then hang the brush by its end loop to dry and store between uses. Tips: Clean feeding and drenching tubes promptly after every use — milk and colostrum residue left in a tube can harbour bacteria that make young calves sick. Choose a tube that the brush fits snugly inside so the bristles contact the full inner wall without forcing. Inspect the bristles and wire periodically and replace the brush once the bristles no longer reach the tube wall.
