Apply topically to the wound with the dedicated Tri-Solfen applicator immediately after the procedure so that the foaming gel covers the whole wound surface. Registered uses and rates (see label weight bands):
- Calves: castration 6 mL (30–100 kg) or 9 mL (100 kg and over); disbudding/dehorning 4 mL per horn site.
- Lambs: castration 3–4.5 mL; tail docking 1.5–2 mL; mulesing 6–12 mL.
- Piglets: castration 1–4 mL; tail docking 0.5 mL (pain mitigation during and up to 4 hours after the procedure).
- Horses: traumatic superficial skin wounds — 1 mL per 4 cm² of wound, maximum 80 mL.
Do not use on lactating or pregnant cows and ewes where milk may be used or processed for human consumption, or on horses that may be used for human consumption. Withholding periods: meat (cattle and pigs) 90 days; meat (sheep) 0 days; ESI 90 days. Store below 30°C (room temperature); do not store at a low temperature. Refer to the registered label.
