Animal Type: Dairy and beef cattle

Push the post firmly into the ground by hand or with a light tap from a mallet - the ring top design means you don't need tools or a post driver. Slip your electric wire or tape through the ring at the top and you're ready to go. These posts work best in softer ground; if you hit hard clay or rock, try a slightly different spot rather than forcing it. Tips: Space these posts about 3-4 metres apart for temporary fencing to keep tension even and stop sagging. The 7mm galvanised steel is light enough to carry a dozen posts, so bring extras when you're moving temporary breaks - you'll always find ground that's easier to push into than where you planned. Push the post in at a slight angle if the ground's really firm, rather than straight down, and you'll get better holding power.
