Unroll the Thunder Tape along your fenceline and secure to posts using insulated staples or tape insulators, keeping tension even but not over-tight as poly tape needs room to move in wind. Connect one end to your energiser using a proper connector block, and earth the energiser according to manufacturer specs. Run the tape straight and check your circuit before turning the unit on. For temporary subdivisions, you can peg it down with droppers every 2-3 metres rather than stapling to posts. Tips: Keep tension consistent along the run — sagging tape won't conduct properly and gives animals a weak shock that teaches them nothing. Clean the tape every couple of months if it's out in the weather, as dirt and grime on the surface will reduce conductivity. If you're running a long paddock, consider splitting it into two circuits from the energiser rather than one long run, as resistance builds up and voltage drops over distance.
