TELESCOPIC RURAL REPAIR JOINER 1” X 1” NORMA 08370305133

This is a NORMA Rural 'B' telescopic compression repair joiner (PE x PE) for joining or repairing 1" (25mm) rural poly pipe. It seals by compression onto the pipe with dual O-rings - it is not a barbed fitting and does not use hose clamps. 1. Cut out the damaged section of pipe squarely with a pipe cutter, leaving clean, burr-free ends. The telescopic body lets you bridge the gap without having to spring or flex new pipe into place. 2. Loosen (do not remove) the green compression nut on each end. 3. Push each pipe end fully through the nut and clinching ring, past the dual O-rings, until it seats on the internal shoulder. Collapse the telescopic end in first, then extend it out to length so both pipe ends are engaged. 4. Hand-tighten each green nut, then tighten a further turn or two by hand or with a strap wrench until firm - the clinching ring grips the pipe and the O-rings seal against it. Do not use excessive force. 5. Pressurise and check for leaks; the joint is ready immediately and needs no curing or setting time. Tips: The fitting is moulded from polypropylene copolymer with NBR (nitrile) O-rings, is UV stabilised with a 50-year design life, and is rated to 850 kPa. The green nuts identify it as a NORMA rural compression fitting, and it is interchangeable with NORMA metric components. Make sure your poly pipe is the matching 1" (25mm) rural class before assembling.
